Maritime Talks 2022

Security, Safety, and Freedom of Navigation through Straits

The (15th) Maritime Talks 2022 organized by the International Foundation for the Law of the Sea covering the subject „Security, Safety and Freedom of Navigation through Straits“ took place on 24 September 2022.

For the first Time the event was held in a hybrid format with some participants present in Hamburg and those who could not travel to Hamburg participating via video link from their places of residence.

Maritime Talks 2021

Port Law: Current Issues and Legal Challenges

On 25 September 2021, IFLOS hosted another iteration of its long-running series of Maritime Talks. Due to the ongoing Covid19-situation, the Talks took place via zoom again. Maritime Talks 2002

On the premises of the International Tribunal for of the Law of the Sea in Hamburg, the first Maritime Talks on

“Worldwide Terrorism – New Challenges for Merchant Shipping”

took place on 28 September 2002 as the very first event organised by the Foundation. The first Maritime Talks were visited by 186 international and national participants and very well covered by the media.
