Symposium 2004

"Maritime Delimitation"

On 25 and 26 September 2004 a Symposium on

“Maritime Delimitation”

took place at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea.

This event was organized in cooperation with the Law of the Sea and Maritime Law Institute, University of Hamburg, the Association du Droit de la Mer and the Bucerius Law School.

160 experts on Law of the Sea have participated in this event.
The results of this Symposium have been published 2006 in a book on “Maritime Delimitation”.

“Maritime Delimitation”, edited by Prof. Dr. Rainer Lagoni and Prof. Dr. Daniel Vignes, has been published in 2006 and is now available (see the flyer by Martinus Nijhoff Publishers). This co-publication with the International Foundation for the Law of the Sea includes contributions by Judges of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, eminent scholars and experienced practitioners. The papers deal with various aspects of maritime delimitation from different perspectives.

They result from the “Symposium on Maritime Delimitation”, organised by the International Foundation for the Law of the Sea, which took place at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea in September 2004.
